Advanced Recycling of plastic waste (e.g., via pyrolysis oil) has potential to grow from an emerging technology to a scaled business of 6-10 mln ton/yr by 2030 in the US alone - enough to fill multiple world scale crackers. As social pressure continues to grow and consumer brands continue to demand recycled material solutions, the refining and petrochemical industry will see huge opportunities to deliver solutions. In this presentation we will review the status of current paths being developed and consider the implications for refiners and for petrochemicals players.
