Description:
Pyrolysis is the thermal conversion of biomass, municipal waste and/or plastic in the absence of oxygen to produce a liquid product. This pyrolysis oil product will have various properties depending on the feedstock and technology. However, it can be further processed through hydrotreating, co-processed in an FCC unit or steam cracker to produce petrochemicals or transportation fuels. This session will cover the Pyrolysis technology with other sessions highlighting further processing of the pyrolysis oil.
