Walk the Line – Conduct of Operations

Walk the Line is about providing operators with the tools they need to understand the current operating state of the plant. Those tools are bundled into three pillars of Walk the Line: Operating Culture, Operational Continuity through Operational Discipline and Operational Readiness.

This year’s workshop will focus on Conduct of Operations – Engineering Discipline tools for Operations and Maintenance as well as highlighting them within the context of five data analysis focus areas from the Advancing Process Safety strategic plan.

This year’s workshop will provide attendees with a variety of networking and learning opportunities. The general session and breakout sessions will highlight aspects of the following themes:

  • Conduct of Operations – Engineering Discipline Tools
  • Operations and Maintenance Interactions
  • Ownership and Sustainability
  • Implementing WTL with a team approach
  • Measuring Success
  • Utilizing the WTL Toolbox to enhance your WTL journey

The goal is for all companies attending to leave with a written Walk the Line plan to bring back to their sites. With this in mind, the format of this year's workshop will be a mixture of small group breakouts and general session presentations. The workshop will kick off with presentations from operating companies who will discuss their Walk the Line Journey. This year attendees will have the opportunity to participate all four breakout sessions.

We will also have a technology showcase. This will provide hands-on opportunities for attendees to interact with products that help achieve WTL staples of Operational Discipline, Operating Procedures, Training, etc. Please contact Mawusi Bridges, mbridges@afpm.org, if you would like more information about becoming a sponsor.

Workshop Goals:
