Description:

Two excellent reports have been prepared by MathPro, Inc. for The American Petroleum Institute and The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers for estimating the cost of producing 40 ppm and 10 ppm sulfur content gasoline. These studies utilized pseudo linear programming models that were representative of an average refinery for PAD’s 1 through 3. The goal of this paper is not to duplicate this previous work but to analyze the impact of producing ultra low sulfur gasoline using a specific refinery configuration.
