This paper will further explore the critical process parameters that impact hydrocracking unit performance. The latest Unicracking innovations will then be introduced. The focus will be on the enhancement of the UOPÔ Unicracking catalyst portfolio for tailoring unit performance, the introduction of two new catalysts, and the introduction of a new process configuration called HyCycleÔ Unicracking. The two new catalysts offer improved selectivity over industry standards DHC-8Ô and HC-24Ô catalysts. The HyCycle Unicracking process is used to achieve a step-change improvement in selectivity and hydrogen utilization. Examples are provided that detail some of the technical and economic benefits of these latest innovations, both in existing and new unit applications.
