Description:

Worldwide changes in clean gasoline requirements have increased the importance of alkylate as a premium blending component. Gasoline blending stock produced by alkylation over a solid catalyst in the Alkylene process meets or exceeds alkylate quality from traditional liquid acid processes. In addition, recent technical developments have made the Alkylene process more competitive in terms of cost and performance. Customer feasibility studies led to improvements to the Alkylene process economics. The result is a technology that is an attractive alternative to liquid acid technologies, and improvements are expected to continue as the technology proceeds to commercialization
