Refiners are under increasing pressure to reduce emissions of SOx and NOx. FCC unit regenerators are sources of these emissions, and FCC additives can be utilized to reduce them. Engelhard has a long history in environmental catalytic technologies for emissions reduction from both mobile and stationary sources. This expertise has been applied to new FCC additive materials designed to reduce FCCU NOx emissions. Laboratory and commercial performance results will be shown.
