AM-05-42 Economic Route to Process Challenged and Opportunistic Crudes

Starting with existing refineries with varying degrees of complexity, KBR will discuss in this paper new ideas for converting fuel oil into valuable products through a combination of bottom of the barrel solutions. The combination will also, in most cases, allow refineries to move to heavier and less expensive crude oil slate. The paper will also show that this new approach provides a better alternative to the refineries than the traditional carbon rejection or hydrogen addition schemes.
