AM-07-36 Radiotracer Test of FCC Riser Separation System

Radiotracer testing was conducted on an RFCCU which was recently retrofitted with proprietary RSS reactor termination device and packed catalyst stripper. Results indicate excellent separation of catalyst from vapor and very short vapor residence time at reaction conditions. Movement of vapor and catalyst through the RSS is shown. Flow of catalyst through the packed stripper demonstrates intimate contact of catalyst with steam. Special analyses of Reactor effluent confirm low dry gas yield and other improvements to the production.
