This paper presents a novel process option developed by Shell Global Solutions that aims at producing more diesel with improved quality and more propylene from Fluid Catalytic Cracker (FCC) units. After a unit revamp, the propylene production can be more than doubled, or the LCO-yield increased by more than 20%, with a cetane increase of more than 7 points.
