Using one of Advanced Refining Technologies’ (ART) high performance distillate hydrotreating catalysts, we have been able to capitalize on renewable sources of fuel by bypassing the purchase of FAME products and instead processing the raw materials through conventional hydrotreating equipment to produce a higher quality ULSD product. Refiners who use the co-processing method would have exact knowledge of the bio-based fuels that are incorporated into the diesel pool which helps to ensure the finished blend quality.
