Description:

U.S. exports of lubricating oils will show no increase during the seventies according to the projected trends in worldwide capacity and demand. Small increases in the overall domestic demand for virgin lubricants are forecast through 1980 primarily because of: 1. continuing decreases in the oil-gasoline ratio. 2. increased usage of reprocessed oil to solve the nation’s problem of waste oil disposal. The decrease in the demand for engine oils for passenger cars is forecast not only because of the historical trend, but also on the assumption that the widescale use of unleaded gasoline could result in extended drain intervals for passenger cars.
