Since the IaLc seventies. China began to dovclop the KlBE production tcchnol~ies. In ccorporation with the collaborators, the Research Institute of Qilu Petrochemical Corporation has’ finished the development of the tcchnolm for the production of KIBE based on the fixed bed rcnction-ozeotropic distillation process and built a commercial plant in 1983. BY the end of 1990, on thr ?s;is of our tcchnoloe;ies, eleven sets of KIBE production plank arc in operation, construction and in design. In recent years, a new catalytic distillation technology have been developed by the Researcn Institute of Qilu Petrochemical Corp. and successfully commercialized in Luo-yang Refinery This new catalytic distillation technology renovates the conventional catalylic distillation technique. Meanwhile we also developed a nixed phase reaction distillation technology, MD technolor!,) which is a combination of mix4 phase reaction with the new catalytic distillation technology that rrnkes the KIBE prcduction technique a new progress.
