This presentation will discuss the effects of feed preparation. catalyst system philosophy. reactor severity. and temperature management on vacuum and coker gas oil hydrotreating of Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) feedstock to increase hydrotreater run length while maximizing FCCU feed quality and unit profitability. A simplified process flow diagram with typical unit rates will be presented based on a typical crude analysis. A review of the last five years of hydrotreater operation with performance data is the basis for the article.
