Description:
The Texaco Gasification Process (TGP) has been used for over 40 years in the refinery and chemical industries to produce synthesis gas from a wide variety of feedstocks. As refineries increase their overall transportation fuel yield, gasification offers a simple, reliable and environmentally-sound method of converting high-sulfur, highmetal, bottom-of-the-barrel residues into valuable products. The Texaco Gasification Process can also destroy unwanted by-products and wastes such as RCRA listed (K048- K052, F037, F038), hazardous wastes. This paper describes the Texaco Gasification Process and its commercial applications of heavy oil processing for waste destruction.
