Description:

Over the past several years FCC catalyst manufacturers have committed considerable resources to a more thorough understanding of the impact of catalyst technology on the detailed composition of the FCC product streams. Initially this was done to examine the ability to increase gasoline octane and alkylation feed using catalyst technology, but since 1990 the incentive for such studies has been the Clean Air Act (CAA) Amendments (passed by the U.S. Congress 11/90) and the need to meet compositional specifications in the gasoline.
