Description:

The Shell SulFerox technology is a selective hydrogen-sulfide removal process jointly developed and licensed by The Dow Chemical Company and Shell Oil Company. SulFerox uses redox-based chemistry to directly oxidize H,S in sour gas to elemental sulfur through reaction with aqueous ferric iron, Fe(II1). In the past, this new technology has proven very successful in direct natural gas, amine tail gas, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) associated gas treating applications.
