Because of this interest in amylene alkylation and ether production, STRATCO has an ongoing project in our Research & Development laboratory to investigate the effect of feed composition and operating conditions on alkylating amylenes as well as various olefin mixes. This paper presents data on the effect of alkylating amylenes as well as alkylating olefms from MTBE and TAME units.
