Description:

For 20 years, the HC-14 catalyst has been the industry’s workhorse hydrocracking catalyst for the production of naphtha and jet fuel. However, recent market trends toward higher severity operations and higher selectivity to liquid products have begun to make more severe demands on the hydrocracking catalyst. UOP and Unocal have responded to this challenge by bringing to the marketplace a new high-activity, nitrogen-tolerant catalyst, HC-24, to meet the needs of the highseverity market. To address the need for higher selectivity, extensive pilot plant testing of UOP and Unocal’s commercially proven HC-26 catalyst has confirmed its benefits in first-stage and singlestage once-through operations.
