Short contact time (SCT) catalytic cracking applications have been receiving high attention in recent years, with a large number of revamps of existing FCCU’s as well as construction of new facilities. This paper will recap some of these developments and discuss the benefits demonstrated by the application of state-of-the-art riser termination, stripping, and feed injection technologies.
