In this paper we document the development, by Mobil and M.W. Kellogg, of a new, third generation FCC feed injector called ATOMAX’“. We describe the performance criteria that guided the development of this technology and present laboratory data comparing the ATOMAXm with previous generation injectors. Commercial results are also presented to highlight the yield improvement capability of this third generation feed injection system.
