Cosmo Research Institute has developed a new USY zeolite (Cosmo HS zeolite or CHZ) and a new FCC catalyst (Cosmo FCC catalyst) containing CHZ. Bench plant tests and commercial trials confirmed that Cosmo FCC catalyst contributes to improved bottoms cracking capability, reduced gas and coke make, and enhanced quality of FCC gasoline. The catalyst is now commercially available.
