Description:

A commercial MHUG plant with a capacity of 80x1 O4 t/a was started up in the beginning of last October and has been run smoothly in the refinery of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company, Northeast of China. The feedstock of the plant is a blend of 60% LCO / 40% SRGO. The main product is high-quality diesel blending component. The yield of diesel product is higher than 95 vol%, the total yield of liquid product reaches 106.8 ~01%. The diesel product has a suhr content less than 0.02 wt%, the Cetane number increases by about 10 units. The color of diesel products (ASTM D-1500) in all cases is less than 0.5. Naphtha from this MHUG plant has high aromatic potential value and is a good reforming feedstock. The chemical hydrogen consumption of the plant is around 130 Nm3/m3. These commercial results are parallel with the results obtained in RIPP’s pilot plant and in commercial trial in Daqing General Petrochemical Works. In addition, pilot plant results ,for upgrading LCO feedstock have indicated that under the conditions of low conversion MHUG process improves the Cetane number by more than 15 units. The chemical hydrogen consumption is 200-240 Nm3/m3.
