A new proprietary stripper and feed nozzle technology was recently installed in a heavy oil cracker at Phillips Petroleum Company’s Sweeny refinery. The revisions improved the unit performance significantly. Comparisons of plant data before and after the revisions are used to show the effects of the stripper and feed nozzle revisions.
