Shell has recently adopted an improved measurement technique for characterizing atomized FCC feedstock. The presentation today looks at how the Shell FCC feed nozzle kit development has progressed using this insight including expected process improvements, the mitigation of reactor coking and downstream fouling plus mechanical enhancements for simpler installation and removal of the nozzles.
