CC-03-156 Integrated KPI – System for OMV Refinery Schwechat

Description:

Low refinery margins and high investments into new plants in consequence of Europe’s new fuel specification regulation (Auto Oil program 2005) force refineries more than ever before to operate at lowest possible costs with optimal yields. OMV Schwechat and CSC Austria have developed a web based fully integrated Performance Monitoring (Key Performance Indicator - KPI) System which supports refinery employees of different levels (from refinery management to operators) in operating the refinery at the highest possible performance. This KPI system enables technological plant performance monitoring, the evaluation of Advanced Control-Realtime Optimization benefits, as well as performance evaluation in comparison to LP-planning and controlling of operational expenses (OPEX). To cover all basic data demands, interfaces to real time databases (AspenTech´s IP-X), LIMS, reconciled plant data systems, the accounting system (SAP) and many others are implemented.
