Description:

This paper provides a brief review of the latest EPA revisions to the TRI Reporting rule that becomes effective for the reporting year 2000 and will impact the TRI submittal in 2001. It also provides data for the mercury content of certain crude oils as determined by New Jersey Petroleum Refiners in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Mercury Task force. This mercury data should be helpful to petroleum refiners completing the TRI. The concentrations found in this study are significantly less than much of the data published in the past. The change is the result of new analytical methods and lower detection limits.
