Description:
This paper discusses programs that have been developed to accurately detect and identify contaminant leaks, both quantitatively and qualitatively. On-line leak detection equipment can recognize a leak when it occurs; giving hydrocarbon processors more time to react. Off-line, innovative tests have been developed to identify and quantify the contaminant in the system quickly; enabling hydrocarbon processors to pinpoint the leak source and assess the magnitude of the problem.
