Design and engineering methods that incorporate systems or features that mimic natural systems or minimize energy use or nonrenewable resources while maximizing reuse or recycling have been incorporated into many aspects of infrastructure, buildings, and anthropogenic endeavors. The term “Sustainable Design” has been used to describe this concept. This paper focuses on the introduction and incorporation of various concepts of sustainable design into the design of service stations.
