A study was performed on multiple activated carbon system installations to develop an engineering design basis for each carbon system. The purpose of this study was to document compliance with the carbon canister design documentation requirements of the Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP (40 CFR Part 61, Subpart FF) and compare the conceptual design basis with the empirical data collected from several years of historical monitoring on these systems.
