The Valero Companies (Valero) successfully implemented a company-wide system to collect emission activity data, calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and prepare the EPA GHG annual report required by 40 CFR Part 98 for all Valero domestic refining operations. The system also contains dashboards that allows for easy viewing of company GHG emission data and emission activity data. A fully integrated web-based “data workbench” has been successfully implemented at one refinery and will be rolled out to remaining refineries.
