ENV-96-173 NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR REFINERY OR PETROCHEMICAL PLANTS (EMISSION CONTROLS)

Description:

The following new product information is of interest to any facility which is or will be affected by Refinery MACT, SOCMl HON, Gasoline Distribution MACT or Title V Operating Permits. It specifically addresses new technology available for reduction of emissions from the guide or gauge pole area of external floating roof tanks (EFRTs) but, has some application to internal floating roof tanks (IFRTs). I will not try to emulate the work done by Rob Ferry or Phillip Myers. These two ‘Professors of Air Emissions’ know more about the w1zys the Petroleum Industry is subject to controls of air emission and which regulation applies when, than I will ever know. However, I will try to tell you the cause and effects of how emissions occur at the gauge pole area with some of the recent history and developments. I will also tell you how compliance in reduction of emissions by the use of this new technology can be achieved at reasonable cost to your benefit.
