Description:
Ground water characterization at an operating refinery has indicated that dissolved-phase compounds in ground water may be migrating off site. In an effort to overturn an agency-approved pump and treat remedy, a demonstration was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of intrinsic remediation as an interim measure for stabilization of the dissolved-phase plume near the property boundary. As part of the demonstration, the ground water flow regime, and temporal and spatial changes in ground water geochemistry were evaluated.
