The multi-media enforcement targeting procedures for year 2000 relied upon watershed level analyses using the Region’s Geographic Information System (GIS) risk screening procedure approach. The process has also incorporated the collective judgement of state and Region 6 managers and technical staff to focus on areas of known environmental concern. The 2000 analysis builds upon the 1999 evaluation which was the first year we assessed watersheds in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
