The Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil market is experiencing rapid changes. Higher performance levels of existing lubricants will be necessary to meet the upcoming changes in technology standards and industry requirements. Tiered product strategies will become the norm with full or part synthetic engine oils at the top end of performance products. The high end performance engine oils will also undoubtedly include some degree of International heavy duty diesel performance claims. These new requirements are driven by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) objectives and the Industry need to meet the ever tightening Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
