Description:

Many companies are developing maintenance procedures for compliance with government regulations or industry standards, to achieve IS0 certification, or to improve their maintenance practices. In a cost-competitive and resource-central environment, it is important for these companies to develop only the procedures that are needed and to ensure that the procedures are effective. This paper will discuss the procedures needed to comply with the mechanical integrity element of OSHA ‘s Process Safety Management regulation. It will also present a cost-effective approach to developing the procedures needed for mechanical integrity. This same approach can be used to efficiently develop maintenance procedures for other motivations as well.
