Eastman Chemical was spun off from Eastman Kodak in 1992. In 1993 Eastman Chemical won the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. Eastman produces over 300 different industrial chemicals, plastics, and fibers and has operations worldwide. Tennessee Eastman Division (TED), located in Kingsport Tennessee is one of the largest chemical complexes in the world and has over 8,000 employees on site.
