Description:

In 1991, Decoking Descaling Technology Inc., introduced the concept of pigging of heaters in oil refineries. This was a new and radical departure from the traditional way that heaters in refineries have been cleaned. It soon became apparent to the operators of refinery furnaces, that this new method of cleaning significantly lowered the start-up temperatures in newly cleaned heaters. The start-up temperatures subsequently obtained, closely resembled those of the newly installed furnaces, something that had never before been observed after the customary traditional cleaning procedures.
