Chevron Phillips, Port Arthur petrochemical plant’s Reinforcement Based Safety program is 100% voluntary computer based program. The program was developed by a composite Management/Union employee team. During this year (2006), 91% of our employees have participated by documenting an observation of employee behavior, participating in a safety activity, or by finding a hazard. During our VPP OSHA audit (Star Site) in 2003 the OHSA team recognized our Reinforcement Based Safety (RBS) Program as an Industry Best Practice.
