This presentation will discuss recent legal rulings concerning significant PSM enforcement issues such as PSV’s and the 3% inlet pressure drop, acceptable interim measures to address deficiencies in process equipment, the appropriate amount of time to address PHA recommendations for facility siting, and OSHA’s use of a voluntary audit as a road map to target violations. The presentation will also address several recent regulatory issues such as the proposed electronic reporting of injuries and illnesses and the major changes for the PSM Standard and OSHA’s Request for Information on 14 revisions that could fundamentally alter industry practice.
