Situational Awareness is a key component of hazard recognition and mitigation, and is an essential to successful process safety and occupational safety performance. This session will present information on a hazard-recognition improvement initiative conducted by Andeavor where employees experience interactive training to improve their situational awareness skills. The attendees also learn key techniques and tools applied by military aviators to maintain situational awareness. The session will share tools for practical application in a field refining or pipeline/logistics setting.
