Description:
A center to investigate operator performance issues has been formed under the auspices of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. The center is a collaboration of operating companies, DCS/SCADA vendors, and academia. The goal is to research issues of generic interest and concern relating to operators in process plants and pipelines. The research results will be available to any member. Initial research will focus on the nature of operator expertise, simulation, data presentation, and decision support systems.
