Description:

The McKee refinery was commissioned in 1933 and, after several major upgrades, has a total throughput capacity of 170,000 barrels per day (BPD). To improve performance of the Hydrocracker Unit, additional temperature measurement points were added to the reactor to properly monitor temperature profiles. The project window was small and scheduled for a turnaround. The solution selected used a Fieldbus Interface module and FOUNDATION® fieldbus temperature transmitters that could be installed within the available time, fit within the available rack space, and cost less than a conventional analog system.
