In this presentation, a detailed description is given of the NitroLance™ system. This system uses a controlled stream of liquid nitrogen at pressures up to 60,000 psig and temperatures down to -240°F to freeze and breakup just about any deposit. Using varying nozzle configurations, the system can be customized to clean heat exchangers and process equipment encountered in sulfur recovery units, fire heaters and furnaces, catalyst reactors, crude pre-heat trains and delayed coking units.
