RMC-16-36 Storage Tank Life Cycle Integrity Management

Description:

This workshop will discuss a life cycle approach to storage tank mechanical integrity management that will include an initial focus on engineering practices for the design and construction of the storage tanks; in-service and out-of-service inspection strategies, including risk-based inspection (RBI) of storage tanks and associated piping; suitability-for-service (SFS) evaluations; and ultimately, when needed, fitness-for-service (FFS) assessment and repair/remediation strategies. The workshop will include general background on the industry standards used to manage storage tank mechanical integrity, and will make use of case studies and examples of engineering best practices, inspection plan development, RBI and FFS assessments and repairs.
