Doug Holtz-Eakin
Former Director of the Congressional Budget Office Economic and Fiscal Policy Expert

In his presentation Politics and the Economy, Holtz-Eakin addresses where the economy stands and evaluates where certain economic policy measures are politically (in terms of support and likelihood to pass.) Holtz-Eakin is wired in with House and Senate members, meeting with them nearly daily to discuss the country’s most pressing economic concerns. This gives him unique insight into the political process for legislation affecting the country’s economy. He will also discuss what the ramifications will be for our industries and the economy and the policy choices of the current administration.

Phelim McAleer
Filmmaker and Investigative Journalist

His most recent documentary, FrackNation, is in his words “A Journalists’ Search for the Fracking Truth.” FrackNation seeks to tell the truth about fracking for natural gas. McAleer has produced documentaries for CBC (Canada) and RTE (Ireland) and two independent feature length documentaries. Before becoming a filmmaker, McAleer was a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times in Eastern Europe. McAleer has appeared on or is a regular contributor to an array of international media organizations including Fox News, CNN and the BBC.
