Sunday, October 16 - Pre-conference Workshop: Next Generation Capital Project Permitting
Under an increasingly challenging regulatory framework and adversarial social climate, obtaining the necessary environmental authorizations for capital projects has become more complex, presenting significant risks related to project costs and schedule. This workshop will provide an exploration of the strategies that can be used to increase speed to market, reduce capital risks, and boost the economic viability of projects. Using various expert perspectives (technical, legal, policy, regulatory, public affairs, etc.) and interactive discussion, the workshop agenda is designed to present solutions and help the audience see the road ahead more clearly. ERM’s facilitation of the workshop will particularly focus on extracting lessons learned from permitting of projects across the country and how those lessons can be applied to effectively manage capital project permitting in the future.
