AFPM 2013 Workplace Violence Prevention Workshop

This one-day workshop, developed by the AFPM Labor Relations/Human Resources and Security Committees,  will explore workplace violence in its various forms.  From harassment and bullying up to an active shooter event.  Security and HR professionals will discuss in lecture and discussion groups how to spot the signs of potential workplace violence; what role managers, subordinates, and co-workers play; what steps to take and who to notify; and how to keep the workplace secure while maintaining employees’ rights.  This first-time AFPM workshop is geared to anyone with supervisory responsibilities, HR professionals, and security professionals, with an emphasis on the refining and petrochemical industries.
