12:00 pm - 05:00 pm Coastal Fishing & Whale Watch Tour -
You’ll likely catch bass, barracuda, rock fish or halibut on this half day fishing trip. You will also have a good chance at catching a yellowtail or a white sea bass. Along the way, experienced captains offer comprehensive narration about the characteristics of the Pacific Gray Whale and other local sea life. Includes fishing license, rod & reel, bait & tackle.

LA in a Day -
This is the most complete and customizable sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. Based on the specific interests of the guests, our expert guide can take you to one-of-a-kind destinations such as the iconic Hollywood sign, the mile-long Walk of Fame, West Hollywood's glittering Sunset Strip, historical and architectural gems, and don’t forget time for shopping at Beverly Hills's glamorous Rodeo Drive!

01:00 pm - 05:00 pm Biking the Strand -
Typically California, this guided ride travels along the famous strand between the Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach piers and back. Enjoy the iconic California coastline, ocean views, sea breeze, and people watching as you pedal along this level path with beach access. Comfortable athletic clothing, closed toe shoes, and a hat or sunglasses are recommended. Water will be provided.

Fee: $130

Golf Tournament -
Enjoy a different kind of golf event this year on the Terranea course. The Links at Terranea was ranked by Golf Magazine as the #2 par-3 executive course in the country and LINKS Magazine named it the best new course of 2009, among other accolades. You’ll enjoy spectacular coastal views, challenging par 3 holes all comparable to championship courses, and unique contests like “Beat the PGA Pro” hole and a long drive challenge on the course simulator. This will be a fun, convenient networking afternoon for all.

Fee: $150

Horseback Riding -
This scenic trail ride will take you on horseback through our local Rolling Hills Trails as well as the Nature Preserve, which is home to a tremendous variety of local flora and fauna. Beautiful horses are expertly guided by witty trail leaders making this an activity for all ability levels. Long pants, a hat or sunglasses and closed toe athletic shoes are required.

Fee: $160

Ocean Kayaking -
Experience the stunning kelp beds full of marine life including bottlenose dolphins, sea lions, leopard sharks, and bat rays, all while paddling through the Catalina Channel’s famous underwater reserve. Certified guided tours are done in stable sit-on-top, tandem ocean kayaks and include a lesson, life vest and all necessary equipment. Comfortable swim suits/trunks are recommended. This is a moderately physical activity and you must be a proficient swimmer and not fearful of the ocean.

Painting by the Sea & Wine for Design -
Throughout the halls of the Resort, guests of Terranea are surrounded by a uniquely Californian style of Plein – Air Painting. The French translation is “in the open air”; the perfect setting to paint. With helpful tips provided by your activities leader and using your own creative expression, you will be able to create your own original and beautiful work of art. This activity is a perfect match for a signature wine tasting of local wines. Paint and canvas is provided.

Tide Pooling -
The Terranea Tide pools easily make the top 10 list of best places to tide pool in California. Explore our Naturalists’ favorite coastline treasure: Abalone Cove. After a quick hike to the pebble beach, the adventure continues as a kaleidoscope of critters await, including sea slugs, anemones, sea stars and crabs. All highly adapted for their ever changing, high-energy environment, these animals and their habitat provide an outdoor marine biology classroom. Comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended. Water and sunscreen will be provided.
